Planned Giving

Your gift to Syracuse University is not just an indication of your belief in the University today. It's also your investment in the future of the University and generations of students to come. But did you know that your gift could be made in such a way that it provides current, tangible benefits to you, your family, and your friends if you establish a life income gift with Syracuse?

In return for the gift you make, you and/or another person you name will receive income for your lifetimes. In addition, your gift may bring you some or all of these benefits:

- A charitable income tax deduction
- Avoidance of some or all capital gains tax of appreciated property
- Increased income
- Tax-free income
- Avoidance of estate taxes

You can also become part of this long and vital tradition by naming Syracuse as one of the beneficiaries in your will or living trust. Depending on your preferences, your bequest may take the form of an outright gift with or without restrictions, or be designated for endowment, with the income to be used for the University's general purposes or for a specific purpose of your choice. Please use the below contact information to learn more about planned giving or go to the planned giving website.
